"The thread that I follow has always been creativity and an interest in ‘what lies beneath’, inner worlds hidden from what we present to the outside world."

In my studio...

Charlotte’s Web

From her own substance,

she spins with a silvery thread.

Quietly, energetically,

she weaves the intricacies of her life,

into a web.

She is aware of it’s frailty,

and yet determinedly keeps spinning,

resting once in a while,

to reflect on her work.

Standing still,

as anything approaches,

quietly observing.

It is her home,

her snare,

and her life’s work.

From the bustle of a activity,

to the stillness of watching…

waiting,

she weaves her way through time.

Sometimes weaving a web of illusion,

of deceit,

but mostly of truth.

Each morning,

as the dew glistens,

on the fragile thread of the web,

she sets about her work,

rebuilding the damage,

from times before.

The unravelling,

she observes,

with the knowledge,

that it can always be fixed…

or that she can embark,

on the spinning of a new web.

The same journey,

maybe a different pattern.

Like the sun with rays

or a moon with beams,

the magic of the threads,

radiates for all to see.

She smiles…

knowing that she has her part,

in spinning the web,

of her destiny.
